While roles describe a certain behavior with regards to a certain position, norms help all members of the team to tell what is right and what is wrong, positive or negative, within the team, so that it can function at best. Typically, norms are not written down or openly discussed but they have a strong impact on the behavior of team members.
We could define "norms" as shared behaviors, opinions, sensations or actions, which guide the organization's behavior.
