Team meetings are key moments for the communication within a team. During the Norming phase, the need may arise to set or rethink some rules or procedures of the management of the meetings.

Some examples:

  • Is the current recurrence of the team meeting functional, or should it be modified?
  • What is the reasonable length of the meeting, and on what day/at what time should it take place?
  • Are there agendas and minutes for every meeting? Are they functional or should they be rethought?
  • How can we make our meetings more engaging? More effective? More efficient?
  • Do team members keep their commitments during the meeting or after it has taken place?
  • Do we have to set some behavioral rules? E.g. punctuality, using mobile phones during a meeting?
