What can the members of the team do to increase cohesion within their team? Here is some advice:
Social-emotional cohesion:
- keep the team small;
- take care of the appearance of the team to increase in members the pride for being part of the team;
- support interaction and cooperation;
- value common interests and features of the members;
- point out the risks and external threats against which internal unity is fundamental.
Social-instrumental cohesion:
- update and clarify the team's objectives regularly;
- each team member must have a concrete role in the action of the team;
- direct each member's peculiar talent towards common objectives;
- value each member's contribution;
- remember that the members need each other to carry out their tasks.
