In this interview, Sofia Sá an Educational Psychologist who teaches communication skills to computer science students at Técnico Lisboa* (Universidade de Lisboa) talks about her personal experience from her studies in Psychology to being presently a lecturer in an Engineering school.

According to Sofia Sá, ignoring diversity and saying “we are all the same” is ignoring parts of humankind. The same exact groups that have been ignored for centuries. It’s time for a change and higher education institutions are a great way to continue that work, that should start in earlier states of the education path.

*Técnico Lisbon and Instituto Superior Técnico are two designations for the same Science, Engineering and Architecture school, which is part of University of Lisbon.
