| Dakka, Bangladesh | 3 weeks family trip. |
Regular flu vs severe tropical desease. |
The therapy, however, gave no results. Therefore on September 17, 9 days after his return from Bangladesh, and 4 days after visiting his family doctor, Hardik went to the ER for persistent high fever: 4 days above 39.7 Celsius degree and intense headache. At the ER Hardik also referred to have back orbital pain and myalgia. All these symptoms together convinced the hospital doctors to do more exams, and, at 14:00 of the same day, Hardik was transferred to Brief Observation Intensive Unite. After visiting him again, doctors started to question about his last weeks. Hardik reported about his travel to Dakka and referred that he flew back to Bologna with a brief stop of 3 hours in Istanbul. He was travelling with his wife and their daughter, who were both fine. The first symptom, fever, appeared in the night between September 9 and September 10, about 4 days after his landing in Bologna, so he didn’t see any connections with his travel.
