MOOCs and their role in spreading teaching innovation

MOOCs support teaching and learning innovation and can enable new forms of collaboration between university and other players: Susanna Sancassani, managing director of METID, the teaching and learning innovation unit of Politecnico di Milano (Italy), considers how MOOCs play a strategic role in re-shaping the models of production and re-production of knowledge and provide opportunities to test and invent new forms of integration with the communities at a local or a global scale.
