  • memorize the basic concepts of forest ecosystem and forest ecology applied to urban forests;
  • distinguish the basic concepts of forest management and its application to urban forests;
  • recognize the basic concepts of the carbon cycle in an urban forest and the carbon footprint;
  • understand the carbon footprint potential for mitigating the effects of climate change and identify impacts at global scale;
  • relate the main actions in maintenance for urban forests, especially in the earlier years after plantation.
