- Description: The Knowledge Equity Network (KEN) is a global community committed to shifting from competition to collaboration in higher education. It focuses on equitable research, education, and societal impact, aiming to enhance global agility in responding to challenges and ensuring equal opportunities for all. KEN hosts regular forums and events to discuss issues, seek solutions, and exchange ideas, fostering a cycle of sharing, learning, and positive impact. The network aspires to create a cultural shift towards collaborative, equitable, and open practices in higher education, working together to achieve the vision of knowledge equity.
WHO?

WHY?
- KEN fosters collaboration over competition: by shifting the focus from competition to collaboration, it encourages the sharing of resources, knowledge, and best practices among institutions and individuals. This collaborative spirit is essential in Open Education, where collective efforts can lead to the development and dissemination of high-quality educational materials.
- It promotes inclusivity and access: KEN's commitment to equitable research and education ensures that knowledge is accessible to all, regardless of geographic or socio-economic barriers. This aligns with the core principles of Open Education, which advocate for inclusive and unrestricted access to educational resources.
- It creates a platform for dialogue and innovation: Through its forums and events, KEN provides a space for stakeholders to discuss issues, share solutions, and innovate. This exchange of ideas is vital in Open Education, fostering continuous improvement and the evolution of educational practices.
