The following example shows a lesson outline that includes different types of activities carried out through quizzes, each with a different purpose: some are designed to support comprehension and deeper processing of the content covered in class, while others serve as retrieval events (such as Prior Knowledge Tests, Competitions, and Review Quizzes).
