Now that you have a clear understanding of the pillars on which to (re)design your course, it's time to dive into the detailed design phase. Download the radar and try to define the “core” of your project.

1. Imagine Your Course

How do you envision your course?
What learning events can you include in the pathway to create a coherent and effective project?

Before entering the detailed design phase, use the radar to define the percentage weight and time allocation that each learning event (i.e., each “card”) will have within your course.

IMPORTANT!
  1. The total weight of all the cards must add up to 100. If you increase the weight of one card, you must decrease the weight of another.
  2. Consider the total student workload, which includes both the time managed by the teacher and the time needed to complete the course. In a university setting, for example, account for all 25 hours associated with each ECTS credit.
  3. If you don’t plan to include a specific type of learning event, assign “0” to that card and bring it back to zero when drawing the radar.
  4. Use this spreadsheet to help you!
You’re all set! You’ve outlined the general idea of your project: in WEEK 3 we will position the cards on the SLD25 board.
