La necessità di "fermare" la prima impressione mi porta a tracciare uno schizzo veloce, pochi tratti, precisi e sintetici, una silhouette fissata nei suoi punti essenziali - le spalle, la vita, le gambe che si allungano sul foglio - racchiusa dentro diagonali e parallele. Sono poche linee, ma è già una figura: non un abito immobile sulla gruccia, ma un abito vivo con l'animazione che gli conferiscono passo e movimento.

The need to “fix” the first impression leads me to draw a quick sketch, a few succinct lines, a silhouette jotted down in its essential points – the shoulders, the waist, the legs stretched out on the sheet of paper – and comprised within diagonals and parallels. Just a few lines, but already a figure: not a garment draped motionless on the hanger, but a living item of clothing with the animation bestowed on it by stride and movement.
