If you are interested in exploring how to develop MOOCs from a gender-aware perspective, we recommend enrolling in this course.
Course description:
Gender stereotypes and the underrepresentation of women in STEM disciplines influence how girls and young women perceive themselves and are among the reasons for their limited presence in the STEM field.
Believing that MOOCs and gender-balanced educational content in general can be part of the solution, this MOOC explores how to create a more inclusive environment through the voices of teachers, instructional designers, visual designers, and students.
It presents a toolkit developed as part of the FOSTWOM Erasmus+ project to design MOOCs from a gender-aware perspective, with a particular focus on:
- the content and storytelling to use,
- gender-sensitive language,
- and the gender-aware use of images and visual materials.
The goal is to offer a practical tool to anyone who wants to create educational content from a gender-aware perspective.
