Metacognition allows students to rethink what they did, why they did it, what they learned, and how they can apply it. After collecting all their thoughts about these questions, students might still want to ask questions to the teacher in order to fill in some gaps. While the answers to the questions listed above might be read by peers or by the teacher, if the numbers in the class are not high, the questions posed by students should be addressed immediately by the teacher, because this would help students to memorise the contents and the learning experience at most.
