This activity is perfect when you have to explain a process, a procedure, or a flow. Support your students in assessing their step-by-step learning process by asking them to anticipate your explanation: you start with the general explanation of your lesson, clearly highlighting the final outcome you are going to reach by the end. Then you go to the beginning of the explanation, ideally organising in advance different levels of revelation, so that you can stop every once in a while in order to ask them – by raising hands, in pairs or in small groups, according to the time you have – to make a prediction of the next step. What happens next?
