At the end of the week students will be able to…:
- Understand and compare advanced techniques for the identification, characterization, and decision-making support of end-of-life composite materials, including non-destructive methods and AI-based decision support systems;
- Analyze and evaluate advanced repair, reuse, and remanufacturing strategies for complex end-of-life composite parts, identifying key process parameters, operating conditions, and performance limits;
- Assess technical, economic, and functional criteria influencing dismantling, reshaping, and reuse pathways of composite structures, with reference to real industrial and demonstrative case studies;
- Explain and critically discuss advanced recycling technologies for fiber-reinforced composites, including matrix and fiber liberation processes, and identify the key physical and chemical parameters affecting their efficiency and sustainability.
