At the end of module 1 students will be able to…:
- Explain the necessity of a circular approach for materials, especially in the field of composite materials and parts thereof;
- Demonstrate which design strategy can be applied to counter a certain kind of obsolescence to maintain product integrity as long as possible;
- Analyze existing (composite) products in regards of the strategies for reusability and recyclability that have been applied during their design process;
- Recommend strategies to improve the design of (composite) products in regards of reusability and recyclability to prevent, or at least postpone, perceived product obsolescence.
