Ignacio's tips could be resumed as follows:

  • spend time planning formative assessment, using learning activities together with an inclusive learning process
  • design a course architecture that allows students gradually solve the challenges presented in the course
  • formative assessment and summative assessment are not two separate entities, so keep in mind that you should design them together and communicate properly the criteria adopted for the assessment
  • promote individual and pair work, strenghten dialogue, collaborative exchange and learning, provide feedback to support group's learning
  • for large groups, promote work among peers, brainstorms and feedback among students
  • take into account your student's profile and never stop obeserving and giving feedback.
