WEEK 4 - INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

After this week you will be able to:

  • explain the warehouse processes for Fashion companies and the main peculiarities;
  • describe the traditional and emerging storage and picking solutions used in warehouses of Fashion companies;
  • understand how the main issues of the warehouse processes are handled in practice in Fashion companies through the description of a real case;
  • introduce the tracking and tracing process, and the main issue to implement such process;
  • present the topic of illegitimate trade, how it harms Luxury companies, which approaches can be followed to counter-act, and which technologies are available to implement such approaches;
  • explain the strengths and weaknesses of different technologies, and why RFID is a powerful option;
  • understand how technology has to be used, and has to be complemented with legal and communication, in order to build an effective strategy against illegitimate trade.
