WEEK 1 - INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

In this week you will learn the basic knowledge regarding the business model of the contemporary fashion industry as Prêt-à-porter or Ready-to-wear, with deepenings on the Fast Fashion and Fashion 4.0 paradigms.

In particular, you will be able to:

  • understand the nature of its products in the form of a collection, the seasonal product life cycle and the so-called planned production and distribution model informing the fashion industry business model;
  • understand processes and activities, and professional roles within a Ready-to-wear fashion company;
  • recognize fast fashion creative approaches and the impact of its business model on the fashion system;
  • comprehend the nature of the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution and how it is impacting on the fashion system transformation.
