WEEK 3 - INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

The third week explores digital technologies for fashion projects from laser cutting to 3D printing, wearables and smart materials applied to garment design.

In particular, you will be able to:

  • explore the connection between digital manufacturing technologies and design processes and practices;
  • understand the possibilities offered by digital technologies, such as laser cutting and 3D printing for the fashion field;
  • discover wearables fields of application and their technologies;
  • go through examples of smart materials that can be applied to the fashion context and to be introduced to the related opportunities and challenges;
  • understand how the blockchain can be used into the fashion industry, in relation to innovative possibilities and current issues.
