Conflicts can be split into three macro-areas:

Interpersonal conflicts:

conflicts of an interpersonal nature between people or groups, there is an irreconcilable disagreement in thought, feeling, motivations or actions.

Intra-personal conflicts:

intra-personal conflicts are within the same person, when there are irreconcilable conflicting impulses within them.

Structural conflicts:

structural conflicts are generated by the organizational structure, processes and procedures.

Besides classification into three macro areas of conflict, we can identify a number of conflict sub-categories; look at the following case studies to learn about them.
