• The drama triangle describes dysfunctional behaviours (also called mind games) that two or more people repeat unconsciously and that are often the base of unresolved conflicts or conflicts that repeat continuously in the dynamic.
  • The three roles are called RescuerPersecutor and Victim.
    • Rescuer: strives to help others, often stopping their ability to act or think for themselves.
    • Persecutor: to avoid being the victim, they push the other into this role, doing so by attacking, belittling or judging them.
    • Victim: feels inferior to the others, deprecates their own ability to think and act.
  • You can exit the drama triangle, starting by recognizing dysfunctional dynamics and identifying the roles of the ‘game’, both yours and that of the other party.
