This exercise, unlike the Take Away Quizzes at the end of each module, is not graded and does not count toward earning the Open Badge. However, it is a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding of the course topics and apply the concepts you’ve learned in a practical and interactive way.
Exercise 1: Using classical dialectics to discuss a topic
Objective: to apply the tools of classical dialectics with the support of AIBook to analyze a topic in a structured way.
- Select a topic you want to learn more about and discuss with the LLM.
- Phases of classical dialectics:
- Statement: Formulate a clear thesis on the subject.
- Definition: Ask the AIBook to clarify key concepts to avoid ambiguity.
- Argumentation: Gather evidence and reasons to support the thesis.
- Deduction: Derives a conclusion based on logical principles.
- Rebuttal: Analyze possible objections to the thesis.
- Synthesis: reorganizes the elements that emerged to create a broader and more coherent vision.
- Compare the results: Test the process with a reliable source or an expert in your chosen field.

Exercise 2: Broaden the discussion with different perspectives
Objective: To explore a topic by broadening reasoning through interdisciplinary, cultural or philosophical perspectives, with the support of the AIbook.
- Select a topic: Choose a concept or thesis that you want to discuss further.
- Use the AIbook to broaden your perspective to other disciplines, philosophical views or different cultural approaches.
- Use the AIbook to summarize contributions:
- Summarize how each perspective enriches the understanding of the topic.
- Identify any points of convergence or conflict between different perspectives.
- Compare the results: Supplement the findings with your own reasoning or compare them with additional sources.
