Week 1 - Your experience with OERs
I started using OERs three months ago thanks to the Federica Web Learning Website, which is full of completely free courses that you can follow online, whenever you have time to do so.
The great opportunity that this kind of course gives me is to follow them even if I can't be present on a regular daily basis. I used to follow online courses held by professors and financed by work agencies, but I had to attend classes at specific hours since they were live-streamed and my presence at those remote meetings was mandatory to get certifications.
Even though they are great, I've started travelling always more frequently to improve my speaking in English-speaking countries, working for families who provide accommodations in exchange for help in their business.
It's a huge opportunity, nonetheless, I was very sad thinking that I had to give up on online classes.
MooCs are a perfect solution for me, due to the fact I can follow them whenever I have time.
