My first reflection of metadesign

Hello everyone,

I’m happy to be part of this forum for the course “Metadesign for Designers and Architects.” This topic made me reflect on the evolving role of the designer — not just as someone who creates final forms, but as someone who designs the process itself, or even builds systems that allow others to be creative.

I believe Metadesign opens up exciting opportunities, especially in interior design and architecture, where we can create flexible systems that adapt to constantly changing user needs.

Personally, I’m currently working on a project for a luxurious chocolate museum and factory, and I’ve been exploring how I can integrate Metadesign principles into the visitor experience — such as making the space interactive and customizable so visitors can shape their own journey.

I’d love to hear your perspectives: How can we, as designers, bring Metadesign into real architectural or interior projects? What tools or methods have helped you design more open, adaptive environments?
