PHOTOGRAMMETRIC PROCESS: METASHAPE SOFTWARE

The following document presents the key steps of the photogrammetric process using the Metashape software on an architectural object.
The workflow follows these different steps:

  • import of the photographic acquisitions,
  • camera calibration and stereo matching,
  • generation of dense point cloud,
  • orientation and scaling of the 3D scan,
  • generation of a polygonal mesh,
  • reconstruction of textures,
  • model cleaning,
  • generation of orthophotographs,
  • and export of the data from the survey.
