Week 2 - About this Week
Completion requirements
We start our journey among teaching approaches to develop our students' green soft skills, dealing with a category not so evident and well-known: self-regulation skills.
Self-regulation and metacognition are at the basis of the learning process. They are crucial to identifying our strengths and weaknesses and recognizing the internal process activated.
By exploring this topic, we can understand how to:
- Conduct a personal reflection about our learning styles, preferences, and effectiveness in learning;
- Distinguish the different phases and functions of awareness, monitoring, control, and evaluation of learning, to become better learners;
- Identify students’ difficulties, mistakes, and challenges in studying;
- Apply strategies to help students develop metacognition.
We will start talking about cognitive, emotional, and behavioral self-regulation, to explore then metacognition.
