One method for this is 'The Flower’: it uses a structured brainstorming template to analyze problems, combine and detail initial ideas, and create scenarios or use cases.

“The Flower” method is a brainstorming technique that involves building ideas around a central theme and then breaking them down into deeper sub-themes. Through this tecnique it would be possibile to access students' capability to listen, capability to bring own original contributions to the discussion, capability to build on others' contribution (exploring, commenting and complementing others ideas).
