If you are interested in directly experimenting a collaborative activity that relates to the construction of a passive house in terms of sustainable development principles, here you can find an example of “Scenario-based learning”.

As team management is an important part of the realisation of many activities, the scenario has been prepared to practice this skill together with green aspects.

In general, the participants - in our case, the students - are divided into groups of five persons.

Each team will consists of a leader (called: Manager) and four workers who need to do some tasks.

One of the tasks to be done by the teams is to purchase building materials for the passive house taking into account some ecological aspects. The materials should be purchased at the cheapest and closest to the construction site to limit CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

The total time for task realisation and further discussion with the participants is 90 minutes.

You can download the intructions and the sheets to be printed and distributed for this exercise.
