This Week is articulated in 3 modules. The first one focuses on fostering students' critical thinking in relation to green transition. We will introduce tools and activities for teachers to support their students, in understanding the meaning and value of critical thinking and especially its role in the context of the green transition.

The second module presents what creativity is and what's behind it. It also offers some interesting real-life cases where green transition has been promoted in creative ways. In essence, we learn how creativity can be implemented in a systematic way, discovering two creative methods, the “What if?” and the “Flower method”.

In the third module, we will see why developing a stronger eco-conscious mindset is a key asset for STEM graduates. We will then look at several activities you can easily integrate to your courses to develop your students’ eco-conscious mindset.

Attending the whole Week you will be able to:

  • Define critical thinking and explain why it is useful;
  • List the 6 stages of the process of critical thinking;
  • Propose to your students activities that stimulate critical thinking;
  • Motivate the value it can yield in the context of the green transition;
  • Recognize the role of solution-based thinking and creativity in promoting green transition;
  • Name and describe existing cases-in-practices;
  • Use creative methods to achieve collaborative thinking and solutions;
  • Understand what eco-conscious mindset is and how to promote its development in class
