In this second week we will look into the topic of Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) and their key role as a guide in the process of designing teaching experiences. We will start from the Constructive Alignment theory to then analyze the Dublin Descriptors and Bloom’s Taxonomies, useful in helping us to create a richer plan for the Intended Learning Outcomes.

If you actively participate in the activities, at the end of the week you will be able to:

  • analyze the concept of “Constructive Alignment” and its relationship with designing learning experiences;

  • understand the use of formulating explicitly and accurately the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs);

  • formulate an ILO in order for it to be a useful tool for designing learning experiences;

  • use Bloom’s categories and the Dublin Descriptors as a stimulus to identify ILOs.
