peer evaluation

As you can see, defining the Intended Learning Outcomes in the initial phase of designing a teaching and learning experience is fundamental to make it really effective. It’s also very important for you to express them in the most accurate and complete possible way. For this reason, we suggest you to challenge yourself, trying to share this aspect with other participants in the course, through a simple “peer evaluation” activity. How?

Follow these steps:

  • create a post in the Forum where you suggest an Intended Learning Outcome that you think is well formulated (you can choose any theme area) and invite other participants to assess it, expressing their opinion on how it was written and asking them to give you any advice on how to improve it;
  • choose a post among those posted in the Forum by other participants and try to evaluate how the Intended Learning Outcome in the post has been formulated, putting forward your suggestions and/or ideas on how to reformulate it more effectively.
