What do you think? Extending Bloom’s taxonomy to the digital world

As you have seen, Bloom’s original Taxonomy, elaborated in the ‘50s, was reworked in 2001 by Anderson & Krathwohl.
The evolution of the taxonomy doesn’t end here: the portal Fractus learning, created by Irishman Nick Grantham to favor the consideration on crossovers between education and the digital world, suggests an interesting extension to the taxonomy (see the table in the next page) in a “digital” direction, with a further learning category called “sharing”, that concerns the ability to post, share, promote, discuss their experiences within new or already existing networks. Following the logic inspired by networked learning, it proposes to substitute the basic levels related to “memorizing and applying” with abilities that are more connected to manipulation and connection of available information.
Try to start from here, focusing your attention in particular on the activity with digital tools (last column in the table), that refer to some examples of activities that can be used with digital tools.
