At this point in the course, we invite you to challenge yourself, by trying to design your teaching and learning activity in a learning innovation perspective and sharing your thoughts with other participants in the course through “peer evaluation”.

To do so, we suggest staring from the ideas provided so far and we invite you to explore, in these last two weeks, the Learning Innovation Network as a tool to design educational innovation. This way, throughout your exploration of the Network, you will be able to focus on its components, progressively completing the designing of your teaching and learning experience.

The most interesting ideas developed in the Forum will be the starting point to activate an exchange of thoughts.

How to do this?

It’s simple, follow these steps:

  • Try to refocus the ideas regarding designing learning innovation you encountered in the description of the Learning Innovation Network tool, choosing what you want to try and design (an entire course, a module, a single lesson or an activity);
  • Prepare your plan, selecting the format you prefer among a logic map, a brief presentation (maximum 10 slides) or a short video (max 2 minutes) in which, as a teacher designer, you describe the planning of your teaching-learning experience in all its parts (see Networked Learning).
    Remember that, if you choose to use the video format, you can create your video simply using your smartphone or, if you would like to make a more articulated video, you can use any video-making software; keep in mind, however, that while this option is appreciated, it is not necessary for participation in the course;
  • Load your work on your Google Drive, remembering to set it as “non downloadable" in the Google Drive Settings (if you don’t want other participants to be able to download and modify it);
  • Create a post in the course’s Forum where you include the title, the link to the Drive where you can share the post and a brief description of the planning work you have carried out. In your post, don’t forget to invite other participants to comment on your post, suggesting that they assess your work;
  • Choose at least 2 posts created by other participants where they present their planning work in the Forum and provide your contribution to peer evaluation, creating your comment posts and suggesting your assessment of what they planned.
