Focus: Open Educational Resources (part 2)
The CC Certificate is now available in Italian thanks to the work of METID - Learning Innovation Center of the Politecnico di Milano.
During the last Open Education Global "Open Education for an Open Future" world conference, which took place at the Politecnico di Milano from 26 to 28 November, the Italian translation of the CC Certificate for Educators and Librarians was presented which, until at that time, it was only available in English.
In the Italian version, edited by METID-Politecnico di Milano, there is also a legislative study on copyright in Italy.
The process that led to this result is extremely interesting because it is itself the testimony of what can be done when the materials are released with open licenses that allow their reuse and modification. In fact, the translation started from the work of Paola Corti, (METID - Politecnico di Milano, Project Manager and Instructional Designer) who completed the course in English and then downloaded the materials of the same released in CC BY adapting them and creating a derivative work as the license allows to do. The Italian translation can be downloaded from the CC Certificate translations page.
