anger

When people start to realize the, now undeniable, situation, they often adopt strongly reactive behaviours. A typical emotion is anger, which can manifest itself outwardly (“It’s their fault", "They think only about profit"...) or inwardly ("I was wrong, I should have gone before", "I'm not worth anything”...).

LET'S SEE AN EXAMPLE

The Queen gets a phone call from the Prime Minister. He asks her for a comment on what the newspapers state about her detached behavior toward the English people. He tells her that their mood is really hostile and he suggests a flag at half mast on Buckingham Palace. Moreover, he tells her that she should go back to the London residence in order to alleviate her subjects’ pain. Nevertheless, she doesn’t agree with the Prime Minister, and she even reacts badly (ANGER), underlining the decency of her behavior and disapproving the journalists’ behavior (IT’S THEIR FAULT, ANGER MANIFESTED OUTWARDLY), who do not respect the Royal Family’s privacy.
