A particularly critical time is often the transition, which is the period between a situation that is about to end and a new one that is about to begin.
As you can see in the transition grid, during a transition period we typically shift from a perception of danger (denial, resistance) to a perception of opportunity (exploration, commitment).
The same idea is expressed in the Chinese ideogram that means CRISIS (as you've already seen in week 1).
