Resistance phenomena

During a proposed change, resistance phenomena may occur, and they could impact heavily on the change’s success or failure.
These phenomena not only slow down the process of change implementation, but also bring about an economic cost that is at times very high.
They may even be the root cause of the ultimate failure of the change itself.
Understanding reasons for resistance is often the first step to prevent it or to deal with it effectively.
