The automatic, often unconscious reactions of a person under stress are direct attack (FIGHT) and/or escape (FLIGHT).

These behaviours are preconceived strategies, developed by our evolutionary process, that allow us to deal with fundamental conflicts.

However there are others that may be equally effective for addressing conflict, without falling into the fight/flight response.

In this lesson, we will analyse the reasoning at the base of a conscious choice of strategy for conflict resolution (NEGOTIATE).
