Education and gender equality has not yet succeeded in our days. Gender equality in education remains a critical parameter that need to be addressed. The necessity to establish women empowerment in education and all scientific fields is imperative. Toward this direction, education can be a powerful means of combating and removing stereotypes, promoting knowledge, advanced skills to generate active citizens and achieve social well-being and sustainability. The digitalization of the global economy, the need to meet the Sustainable Development Goals, the green energy transition accelerated and promoted distance learning solutions at all levels (basic and higher education, lifelong training). Gender gaps however remain, depending on the Country infrastructure, computer literacy and internet accessibility even within Europe (WEF, 2022).
