Laura Kaschny, PhD researcher in EU Energy Law at the Tilburg Institute of Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) and the Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC), Tilburg University (the Netherlands).
Laura researches how to regulate and accelerate a just and socially acceptable energy transition with a focus on energy justice and how to address trade-offs of public interest in EU energy regulation. Her research particularly emphasizes the changing roles of market players and how to tackle the regulatory tensions arising from this shift in decision-making processes. Laura holds an LL.M. (cum laude) in EU Law from Tilburg University and has specialized throughout her career in EU law, German law, energy law, environmental law and competition law.
